The teacher
Elvira Lagji started the cello at six and trained in Europe. She holds a Bachelor of Music with Honours in Cello Performance and has played as a soloist and orchestral musician across Europe.
She has taught in Metro Vancouver since 1999. She is on faculty at the British Columbia Conservatory of Music, and she teaches privately at her South Burnaby studio. Students have earned high exam and festival marks, completed advanced diplomas including ARCT, and gone on to music schools in Canada and abroad.
